Education & Talent Development
Alongside managing daily media operations, a cornerstone of my career is training, mentoring, and empowering emerging filmmakers and media production professionals.
I direct structured documentary filmmaking residencies, design hands-on curricula in video production, and provide technical consultation for community producers and fellows.

Mentorship Philosophy & Learning Outcomes
My educational framework equips emerging media makers with both practical knowledge and creative confidence:
- Documentary Storytelling: Using the tools available to tell community-centric stories that are true to lived experiences and have meaningful impact, while developing skills and confidence for pursuing careers in media production
- Project Management & Client Relations: Managing production timelines, client communication, post-production delivery schedules; Establishing trusting working relationships, mitigating scope creep, and helping non-production-minded clients make creative decisions
- Preservation & Archiving: Understanding obsolete media migration, signal restoration, and ethical stewardship of community history; Establishing personal best practices for replicable outcomes, and understanding a good, practical solution is better than a perfect, theoretical one
