As the founding architect of the GRTV Media Preservation Suite, I design structured digitization signal chains, operate broadcast-grade legacy VTR and audio playback decks, and build metadata catalogs to ensure these visual and oral records survive.

Our media preservation workflow is optimized for high-fidelity extraction across analog, digital tape, optical, and physical transparent media:
- Video Tape Migrations: VHS & S-VHS (archival, mezzanine, and lightweight access copies); MiniDV & DVCam (retaining original DV bitstream transfers via Firewire & DVRescue).
- Legacy Audio Formats: Compact Audio Cassette and 1/4" Open-Reel Audio digitized to uncompressed broadcast standard.
- Digital Optical Discs: Accurate file-level extraction for CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray formats.
- Photographic Transparency Scanning: Film slide and photographic negative digitization utilizing VueScan and the Epson V600 Photo system, outputting raw uncompressed TIFFs or web-ready JPGs.
- Delivery & Preservation Standards: 10-bit Uncompressed & Apple ProRes 422 HQ video capture, 24-bit/96kHz WAV uncompressed audio, H.264 mp4 access files, and structured PBCore XML sidecar metadata.
